Content fidelity

Content fidelity is how faithfully an AI answer passes on what your page says when it draws on it.

Content fidelity is how faithfully an AI answer passes on what your page says when it uses it. High fidelity means the answer gets your prices, terms and claims right. Low fidelity means it cites you and then gets the details wrong.

It's easy to miss, because a low-fidelity answer still looks like a win. You're cited. You may even be named. Only reading the answer shows that it said something you never said.

What goes wrong

The usual slips are small and costly. A condition gets dropped, two facts get merged, an old figure survives next to a new one, or a number from one plan gets attached to another.

For example, Harrow & Pine's delivery page says "Free delivery on orders over £40 to mainland UK." An answer cites the page and says "Harrow & Pine offers free delivery." Someone in Belfast orders £25 of coffee, gets charged for delivery, and leaves a one-star review.

How to make your pages harder to misread

Put each key fact in one plain sentence, with its condition in the same sentence. Keep the facts the same on every page that mentions them, so an old page doesn't argue with a new one. Avoid putting important details only in images, tabs or tables that a script loads, because a bot may never see them.

Claims checks what each answer says about you against your facts, and quotes the sentence whenever a claim contradicts one. Accuracy is the supported claims divided by the supported and contradicted claims together. Inaccuracy drivers shows the pages behind a wrong claim. If your own page is on that list, either the page is out of date or the answer misread it, and both are yours to fix.
