Agentic readability
Agentic readability is whether an AI agent can read a page and pull out the facts on it correctly, without a person's help.
Agentic readability is whether an AI agent can read your page and get the facts right. Can it find the price? Can it tell which plan includes what? Can it see that you deliver to Ireland? If the answer is yes, without guessing, the page is readable to agents.
It's a narrower idea than agent readiness, which also covers whether an agent can act on your site. Readability is only about understanding what's there.
What gets in the way
Pages built for people often lean on things agents handle badly:
- Text that a script writes after the page opens, which many bots never run
- Facts shown only in an image, a video or a chart
- Prices that change depending on a toggle or a slider
- Key details behind tabs or "read more" buttons
- Tables with merged cells, where it's unclear which value belongs to which row
A simple test
Turn off JavaScript in your browser and open the page. What's left is roughly what a bot that doesn't run scripts reads. If your prices, plans or delivery areas disappear, an agent may never see them.
For example, Harrow & Pine's delivery page shows a map with the areas it covers, and no text. A person sees the shaded areas at once. An agent reading the HTML finds a heading that says "Where we deliver" and nothing under it. Adding one sentence that lists the areas fixes it.

Open a page in the Pages tab of Website to see it side by side: What a person sees and What a bot reads. Blocks that bots miss are marked Hidden from bots, with why they're hidden and how to fix them. Page checks also test whether a page is shown without scripts, has a title and headings, and opens with an answer.
