Attribute

An attribute is a specific thing AI answers say about your brand, like "fast delivery" or "expensive for small teams".

An attribute is one specific thing AI platforms say about your brand. Where a theme is the subject, like price, an attribute is what's said about it, such as calling you cheaper than the supermarket, or pricey for what you get.

People use the word in two ways. Some mean the attributes the platforms already give you. Others mean the attributes you want to be known for, the target your work is aiming at. You need both: what's said now, and what you'd like said instead.

Why attributes matter

People rarely ask an AI platform for just any brand. They ask for the cheapest one, the fastest one, the one that integrates with the tool they use. If the platforms attach the right attributes to you, you're named for those questions. If they attach the wrong ones, you're left out or warned against.

For example, if the answers keep saying you only deliver within London after you started delivering nationwide, you'll miss every question from outside London.

What's said, in the Sentiment tab of Perception, lists the things the answers say about you, with their tone, how often they're said and since when. Each one shows the pages behind it.

To check whether what's said is true, add your facts in Claims. We check every claim an answer makes about you against them. And the Objections tab lists the reasons the platforms give for not choosing you.
