Theme

A theme is a topic AI answers keep bringing up when they describe brands in your industry, like price or delivery.

A theme is a subject that comes up again and again when AI platforms talk about brands like yours. For a coffee roaster, themes might be freshness, price, delivery and ethical sourcing. For accounting software, they might be ease of use, integrations and support.

Themes tell you what the platforms think matters when someone chooses between brands in your industry. If every answer about coffee subscriptions talks about freshness, freshness is a theme you need to own.

Themes and sentiment

Sentiment tells you whether the answers sound positive or negative about you. Themes tell you what they're positive or negative about.

For example, your sentiment might be mostly positive, with the negative mentions all about one theme: delivery. That points to one problem to fix, where a single sentiment number wouldn't.

Themes in AnswerOrbit

We call them qualities. A quality is something the platforms tie to brands in your industry. We find them in the answers, and you can add your own.

For each quality you'll see how often the answers describing you bring it up, your rank among every brand the platforms name for it, and how often the answers about that quality name you. You can be closely tied to freshness and still come fifth when someone asks for the freshest coffee.

The Qualities tab in Perception shows them all, with the pages behind each one.
