Product tile
A product tile is a card in an AI answer that shows one product, with its picture, price and a link to buy it.
A product tile is a card an AI platform shows inside its answer when someone asks what to buy. Each tile is one product: a picture, the name, a price, often a rating, and a link to a shop where you can buy it. A shopping answer usually shows a row of them.
For anyone who sells products, tiles are where an AI answer turns into a sale. A shopper who sees your product in a tile is one click from buying it. A shopper who only sees your competitor's is one click from buying that.
How tiles differ from a mention
A text answer can name your brand in passing. A tile shows a particular product, at a particular price, from a particular shop. That brings questions a brand mention doesn't:
- Which of your products does the platform pick?
- Is the price it quotes the one you charge?
- Which shop does it send people to, yours or a reseller?
- Is your product the first tile, or the fourth?
An example
Someone asks ChatGPT for the best bag of coffee beans for a French press. The answer shows four tiles. The first is Kestrel Roasters' house blend, at £9 from Kestrel's own shop. The third is Fernhill Coffee's dark roast, at £12 from a supermarket website, though Fernhill sells it for £10.
Fernhill is in the answer, but it's not first, the price is wrong, and the sale goes to someone else's shop. A text-only count of mentions would call that a win.

We call these product cards. ChatGPT is the one platform we read them from. Shopping shows which products appear for your prompts, how often yours come first (your Win rate), the prices ChatGPT quoted, and the shops it sends people to in the Merchants tab. Connect your catalogue and we match every card to one of your products, and mark Price differs when a quoted price isn't the one in your catalogue.
