Review-site influence is how much review sites shape what AI platforms say about brands. Sites like Trustpilot, Google reviews, G2 and Capterra collect what customers say, and AI platforms often read them when someone asks which brand to choose or whether one is any good.
For you, it means your reviews do two jobs. They persuade the people who read them, and they feed the answers of people who never visit the review site at all.
How reviews reach the answers
When a platform searches the web to answer a question about a brand, review pages often come up. They're full of the details people ask about: price, quality, delivery, service. A model can sum up hundreds of reviews in one sentence.
That cuts both ways. A recurring complaint in your reviews tends to turn up in answers as a reason not to choose you. A recurring compliment can turn up as a reason to.
For example, Fernhill Coffee has a 4.6 rating, and a cluster of recent reviews say parcels arrive damaged. Answers start to say Fernhill "has had some packaging issues." The rating is good, and the answer still picks up the complaint.
How much weight they carry
It varies by category, by platform and by the kind of question. Questions about software tend to pull in software review sites. Questions about local services pull in Google reviews and local directories. Comparisons pull in reviews more than how-to questions do. Look at your own answers before you decide which review sites matter to you.
What to do about it
Ask happy customers to leave reviews on the sites your answers use. Reply to complaints in public, and fix the cause. Never buy reviews or offer rewards for good ones. It breaks the rules of most review sites, and it can be discovered.

Connect Trustpilot, Google reviews or Feefo in the Review sites tab of Perception. You'll see your rating, how often the answers used that review site as a source, and the subjects your reviews and the answers talk about, side by side. When a review site matters for your prompts, your recommendations may suggest growing your reviews there.
