Sentiment prompt
A sentiment prompt asks an AI platform to judge a brand, like "Is Fernhill Coffee any good?", so you can read what it thinks.
A sentiment prompt is a question that asks an AI platform to judge a brand it names. "Is Fernhill Coffee any good?" is one. So are "What are the downsides of Kestrel Roasters?" and "What do people say about Harrow & Pine's tea?"
They show you the platform's opinion of you in its own words. That's what someone hears when they already have your name and want to know whether to trust it.
How they differ from other prompts
Most prompts you track ask for recommendations, like "best coffee subscription in the UK." Those tell you whether you're named. A sentiment prompt starts from your name and asks what the platform thinks, so the answer is almost all about you: strengths, weaknesses, and what people complain about.
Because they name you, read them apart from your other prompts. Mixed in, they make your visibility look higher than it is.
Ask about one thing at a time
A general question gets a general answer. "Is Fernhill any good?" may come back as "generally well reviewed, some say it's pricey." That's hard to act on.
Ask about the qualities that matter to buyers, one per prompt, and tag each one. For example, Fernhill tracks three prompts: "Is Fernhill Coffee good value?" and "Does Fernhill deliver on time?" and "Is Fernhill's decaf any good?" Answers about delivery are warm. Answers about value are mixed, and keep pointing to a cheaper rival. Now Fernhill knows which quality to work on.
Sentiment prompts in AnswerOrbit
Perception asks sentiment questions for you. Once a week we ask each platform you track 20 questions describing you and each of your competitors, and 10 looking for reasons not to choose you. They don't count toward your plan's prompts. The results show up as qualities and objections.
You can also track your own as branded prompts, and give them a tag, so you can filter them out of your other numbers. The Sentiment tab shows the tone of every mention across your tracked prompts.
