Top citation pages

Top citation pages are the single web pages AI answers cite most for your prompts, ranked, which tells you exactly which articles to work on.

Top citation pages are the single pages that AI answers cite most often for your questions, in a ranked list. Several pages from the same website can appear, since a magazine may have three articles the platforms keep reading.

Where top citation domains tells you which sites matter, the top pages tell you exactly which article, listing or thread to do something about.

What to do with the top rows

Open each of the top pages and read it. For each one, ask:

  • Does it mention us? Is what it says right?
  • Does it name our competitors?
  • Is it a page we could get onto, like a list article that's updated each year, or one we could improve, like our own?

The answers give you a job for each page: pitch it, correct it, or update it.

An example

For example, Fernhill Coffee's top cited page is a list article called "The best coffee subscriptions in the UK." It's used in 38 of Fernhill's 140 answers this week. It names Kestrel Roasters and Harrow & Pine. It doesn't name Fernhill.

The second is Fernhill's own page on grind sizes. The third is a forum thread where Fernhill is mentioned with last year's price.

So Fernhill writes to the list article's editor before the next update, keeps its grind page current, and replies in the thread with the new price.

Pages come and go

Top pages change more than top domains do. A new article can jump to the top in a week, and an old one can drop out when a platform finds something fresher. Check the list regularly, and follow the ones that matter.
